Technical User Manual Translation (Chinese to English) & Formatting

· 2 min read

TL;DR

Translated a Chinese technical user manual into English with accurate terminology. Redesigned the layout in Word, recreated diagrams and screenshots using CorelDRAW, and delivered a print-ready PDF document.

Background

The client needed a Chinese technical user manual translated into English for overseas market distribution. Requirements included accurate technical terminology, formatted layout, clear diagrams and screenshots, and final output suitable for direct printing.

Solution

We began with technical translation from Chinese to English, ensuring precise terminology throughout. After translation, we conducted full proofreading for language polishing and consistency.

For formatting, we redesigned the Word layout with consistent styles and structure. Diagrams and screenshots were edited and recreated using CorelDRAW, with callouts added where needed. The final output was exported as a print-ready PDF meeting publication standards.

Results

The client received a PDF document ready to send to the printer with no additional processing required. Compared to their previous approach of coordinating separate translation and design vendors, this reduced communication overhead and turnaround time.

Why Us

Translation and formatting design capabilities in one place. A single point of contact handles the full workflow, avoiding the coordination costs of working with multiple vendors.
